Medical centers need faster response times and secure data access. This is critical to empowering healthcare professionals and support staff to serve patients. For many years, organizations have migrated their data centers and server rooms from on-prem to the cloud using the latest technologies. Their aging infrastructure no longer linmber enought to support modern technology and CaPex too high. Many have migrated their data using a hybrid infrastructure to maintain PII, HIPPA, PCI, GDPR, and security. An added benefit, organizations have improved redundancy, visibility, reliability, compute power, and lower expense. OptraMed has worked with many clients like West Corneshire Medical Center to leverage technology to future proof itself from security threats, maintain medical health data compliance, and governance.

New technology can not only help companies to address several major care challenges—such as compliance and security of data management—but also can help them to create billions of dollars in value. Technology continues to transform many industries, and healthcare is ripe for change. Although high-tech and telecom firms have made significant investments in this space, Healthcare centers, clinics, and medical device companies are also positioned for success. Capturing this opportunity, however, will require the involvement of top management as well as major changes to organizations and capabilities.

Data security continues to be an important issue across all industries and organizations. The number organizations experiencing data breaches, phishing, and ransomware attacks will grow exponentially in the very near future. In 2021, we were approached by a very concerned CIO about his ability to protect his patient data. We conducted detailed compliance audit and risk assessment, combined with a physical and digital penetration test. From those baselines, we presented a path forward using new technology, best practices to organizational stakeholders, and training for lay persons to better mitigate threats. Today, they are in a better position to face current and future threats.

Our most recent project at was finished months in advance. The clinic needed to add new medical devices and integrate them into its network. In addition, training of medical and IT staff was a factor post-install. While adding a powerful new system of tools into the environment was challenging, the outcomes were very fruitful for the clinic's operations and service levels. One of the top features of this project remains the intricate behind-the-scenes work allowing for ease of use to the user. WAP's coordinate hand-offs between handheld devices that integrate directly to the orgzanizations network and medical equipment by department.
